Amanda Vieira dos Santos is a Ph.D. student in Atmospheric Physics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She received her Bachelor of Science in Physics and her Master of Science in Nuclear Technology from the University of São Paulo. Amanda’s past work focused on statistics of the Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL) height over the São Paulo, Brazil, area.
Her current research focuses are:
• Multi-year statistics of lidar and sunphotometer data over the Baltimore-Washington Area;
• Statistical analysis of the Planetary Boundary Layer height over the area, as well as the impact of solar radiation and surface PM levels on the PBL.
